I watched on TV a pride of African lions take down an Elephant.
Alone, a lion does not stand a chance against a fully-grown elephant. Its size and will to survive is enough to keep it safe.
But then, the pissed off lioness will go and tell all her other lioness friends that there is a rambuncious Elephant at large, and must be dispossed of. He might also serve the purpose of feeding the kids and their good-for-nothing husbands.
With this, the group approaches the unsuspecting beast from all sides. Thinking its safe now, after fighting off one lioness, the hunters give it then benefit of the doubt.
Then when its head is down, drinking maybe, or sleeping, a lone hunter will jump at it from the front, scaring it backwards into the ambush. Here, the Elephant will ultimately meet a painful end.
The similarities to politics just amazed me.
